Why Is Therapy Important?

Therapy is not what it used to be. When most of us think about therapy, we picture ourselves on a couch with the therapist in a chair and writing what we say down as we speak. We just talk and things magically get better. Right?

WRONG!

That’s not what it’s like anymore.

The truth is that we all need and deserve a therapist. There are so many things in our lives that we don’t know to deal with healthily.

When we are kids, we don’t get “shamed” for going to school so someone can teach us how to spell, read, or write.

When we wanted to play a sport, we look for the best coach to teach us the skills from basic to advanced to play the sport and win.

The same goes for our minds and how we deal with our emotions. We NEED that person to teach us how to be the best version of ourselves.

We don’t call them teachers or coaches, but we do call them therapists and counselors.

There are good and bad therapists which means it is your job to find one that suits your needs and lifestyle.

The way I handle my clients is without medications. I take a holistic and clinical approach to everyone that works with me.
